Initial proposal for a combined binary package is now pushed to the 'proposed-consolidate' branch.
The package description needs some rework. We need to double-check the conflicts/replaces semantics and make sure all upgrade scenarios are covered. The package source is, IMHO, pleasingly simpler now. -- Jonathan Dowland
