Please see https://launchpad.net/bugs/1980606 (which was mentioned in
the debian/changelog).

Without that dependency, the app crashes.

Perhaps the gsettings schemas could be split to a separate package but
I believe the code assumes that gnome-remote-desktop is available. So
we would just have a different bug.

If you want to keep gnome-remote-desktop from running, why don't you
mask and disable the systemd user services?

You could also lockdown the gsettings values. See
https://help.gnome.org/admin/system-admin-guide/stable/dconf-lockdown.html
for some basic documentation on how to do that. I believe that would
show the Remote Desktop Sharing option in the Settings app but it
would be impossible to turn the switch on.
