I did. And it gave strange behavior:
Some fortunes with umlauts gets printed correct some not.

Sure but I have no other etch-box. All other is sid or sarge.

Well, no, it was allways upgraded from older machines. And yes, I do
never ever use the debian kernel as I do compile it by myself. And for
stable machines I need a stable kernel, no developement version 2.6.x!
