Hi Gaus,

I switched to rsh-server and I still cannot get in:

auth.log

Jun  4 16:32:44 up pam_rhosts_auth[5110] allowed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] as smart
Jun  4 16:32:44 up in.rshd[5110]: rsh denied to [EMAIL PROTECTED] as smart: 
Permission denied.
