Yes I've seen this mentioned previously also. If it's a matter of finding people it should be obvious very quickly whether there are spare resources. I'm honestly not sure how much involvement would be necessary, I guess unlike updates to stable there wouldn't be so many controls upon the testing archive, and uploads could be made directly without any real problem.
