Maybe try a Beaglebone Black - no extra firmware needed. Oh, too small / not enough features - too bad. idealism great - but you *currently* have the chance to install Debian on amd64 without finally installing non-free firmware / non-free softwware. All of this was fairly well explained when the GR on non-free firmware passed.
