I ment to be laughing *with* you but I know how hard it is to convey emotions properly via text (or other means). > > looking forward for further clarification then! ;) > > Debian Pure Blend: a subset of Debian that is configured to support a > particular target group out-of-the-box. > > Debian-Edu: a subset of Debian that is configured in violation of > Debian Policy to support a particular target group out-of-the-box. > > Just like your argument back in 2008 that 99.999% is "just" a rounding > error away from being pure, Debian-Edu is "just" a configuration > violation away from being Debian. I still do not understand why you single out #311188 so much, because Debian, Debian Edu and any distro/blend based on Debian has many many policy violations as https://bugs.debian.org/release-critical/ tracks nicely and #311188 is just one of the many. Sigh. But whatever, I'm not involved in Debian Edu anymore, so I rest my case. -- cheers, Holger ⢀⣴⠾⠻⢶⣦⠀ ⣾⠁⢠⠒⠀⣿⡁ holger@(debian|reproducible-builds|layer-acht).org ⢿⡄⠘⠷⠚⠋⠀ OpenPGP: B8BF54137B09D35CF026FE9D 091AB856069AAA1C ⠈⠳⣄ All data, over time, approaches deleted, or public.
