I'm far from being expert here, but I think ftpmasters care more about
licenses and dfsg-freeness instead of copyrights.
As long as the license is dfsg they are fine, specially because in the
*worst case* the license will be dfsg, in the best case it *might* be public
domain.

So, in every case we have a "good" license (Debian-wise, I don't personally
like GPL-3+ and I prefer GPL-2+)
