        The exact same conclusion that I reached. The fink project has
        some problems in my view as a user (perhaps I've been spoiled
        by Debian's high quality), but they don't have something that
        I think is essential to any project: security releases of
        packages.

        That's not even to mention other problems like not having
        binary releases of most packages (and compilation under MacOS
        X taking *ages* with anything less than a huge amount of
        memory).

        I don't know if I understand exactly what you want. Perhaps I
        do, but just to be sure, do you want something like
        <http://people.debian.org/~branden/ibook.html>? No physical
        medium is required if work is done with help of Open Firmware.
