According to v4l the problem lies in the driver (and seeing as v4l works
with a lot of other cards, it's the driver). A fair bit of hacking on the
driver did not result in any improvement.

trawling the net throws up a few references to some sort of success with
planb, presumably the author(s) had it working once....
Presumably you have tried a number of versions of things. All of the (?)
successes seem to be fairly old which could be because thats when there
was some interest or is in fact a version issue.
do you have any insights into what ioctl is trying to do in the above
example?
