You really don't need it now. I just used the 'ns-install' script that came with the Communicator archive. Oh and another point I found which wasn't obvious is, to get SSL connections (i.e. to hhtps: URL's) working, I had to copy the 'moz40p3' file that is installed into Netscape's root directory to my $HOME/.netscape directory.
