Check the name you have for initrd in lilo.conf mkinitrd -o /boot/initrd-2.4.4-686 /lib/modules/2.4.4 ^^^^ does not match below initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.4 in "/etc/lilo.conf" Patrick. - Mary had a little lamb.
