If you have the exact text, you can then search on it. If the installation completes, installation logs are at /var/log/installer. What you want is probably toward the end of syslog. If the installation does not complete, open a console (CTL-ALT-F2), and use the command line to copy them to someplace you can get at them. They are at /var/log.
