I don't agree at all. I've used fixed focus glasses before but I find close range varifocals a huge upgrade. They're extremely useful for monitor work *and also* I can see and read things around me that fall outside the extremely narrow focus range of single focus reading glasses. I wonder if fixed focus even works for modern large two or three monitor setups? I suppose it's fine for a single small screen. So, not going back from my close range varifocals. I don't need glasses otherwise.
