Hi Sruthi,

many people see Debian as a technical project, providing The Universal Operating System to the world.

What do you plan to do during your DPL term to support and advance Debian's technical leadership and excellence? What is in your opinion the most pressing technical issue that should be tackled during the 2026 DPL tenure? Are there technical teams and aspects of Debian that need assistance and/or suppport to improve their results with regard to The Universal Operating System?

What will you say to people who remind you that Debian is a mainly technical project that of course has some social aspects, and voice concerns that they fear that you might try to treat Debian as a social and/or political platform while neglecting the technical aspects of the project?

Greetings
Marc
