We switched to an older version (7.13) at 0001 on 5 July due to the sharp
increase in spool size and the Queue manager stopping. We decided it was
looking like a cascading failure of the entire system and that Imail was not
compatible with 2003. FYI - 2003 registry is not transportable to NT 4.0.
You'll have to use the "extract users" utility and the addusers command.

My guess here is that it was a problem with the Queue Manager in IMail v8. Once the directory gets to 100,000s of files, it is going to take a lot of time to clear -- not only do all those E-mails have to be sent, but they will get sent much slower due to the large number of files. So even after switching to 7.13 (which I'm suspecting fixed the problem), you would likely see the spool take a lot of time to clear.
