I wouldn't rely on DSL, cable, or FiOS for uptime,
but you could have business class with two providers and a Dual WAN router to
achieve something akin to T1 reliability for under $200/month. If you were
hosting (which I wouldn't recommend under the circumstances), you'd need a
pretty short DNS TTL with detection for a downed
connection to switch to the other provider's IPs.
Still, it's interesting. Expect for frame
connections or hosting services onsite, I can't imagine why a business wouldn't
go this route now.
I wonder if it will bring T1 prices down
eventually...

I was paying $85 for 384 DSL, so for me
it's a serious "perfomance / cost" improvement.
With the 2mbps up bandwidth, this could
_theoretically_ replace a T1 at less than 20% of the cost. Still not sure I'd
bet the company on THAT, though, and I'd need a lot more than eight
IPs.
