I'm not sure if there's a generic way, but you may need to delve into WMI to
identify the various hardware components. If you have some control over the
hardware being used, then perhaps you can query the software environment for
the driver you're expecting to see

I ran across an article at

A00_-How-to-detect-a-touch-screen-on-Windows-CE-in-.NET-CF.aspx that talks
about why they abandoned a generic approach in Windows CE.

There's a reseller at http://display.rell.com/ that may let you find a
technical support page or developers support page that may give you some
ideas, too.

Subject: [delphi-en] Can we detect a Touchscreen?

Hello to all,

Does anybody knows a way, using Windows messages or else, to detect if the a
application is running on a normal screen with a keyboard or if it's running
on a touchscreen?

The reason is that in a case of a touchscreen, I would make some components
bigger, 'cause my buttons would be too small to click with fingers.

Thank

.
