I thought D6 was worse than D5.  D4, to me, the first really usable 
version and D7 has most eveything I need (and what it doesn't have, I 
can add)
There are two thresholds for products:
1) the lower one - the minimal level of functionality required for 
viability (D4)
2) the upper one - functionality beyond this isn't worth the costs (D7)
Interesting note: D5/6 broke some of the D4 functionality so they were 
below the lower threshold.
