For what it's worth,
I work at home on a Win98 PC (96MB RAM) and at the office on an NT 4 Box
(64MB RAM), similar processes/video etc. I get the API error lots on the
Win98 machine, never on the NT box.
Rebooting generally fixes it (for a while), so I figure it's a good excuse
to make another cuppa or pour another dram (depending on what sort of day at
the office I've had).
