I think that one possibility is that Win98 SE manages window-handles less
efficiently, or uses more handles for it's own mysterious reasons.
I've had major problems with running my (large!) app in the debugger after
installing the second edition of 98. (Error boxes with 'The parameter is
incorrect', then full-system lockup. 'The parameter is incorrect' seems to
be Win32 for 'You're out of window handles.')
App-wise, it's easy enough to free up the handles of forms shich are
created, but not showing. I believe this is what Borland may have done with
D4.
Cheers,
CJS
