The Christchurch Delphi Users Group has been inactive for some time. I (and
others) used to run this. Do Christchurch people want to see it resurrected?
If so, contact me and we can sort something out.
Regarding learning Delphi, careerLink COLLEGE do a one year, full-time
Programming & Analysis course that incorporates Delphi among other
languages/environments.
Electec College do a similar one year course.
Other courses, some short-term are offered from time to time at Polytech.
You could get a few people together and have a custom-designed course taught
part-time. I have sometimes done this for various groups or organisations.

possibilities if you wish.
Other than that, the other suggestions regarding purchasing a good book,
Delphi, and putting in a bit of work is probably the best option.
