Aldrin, I don't think you can get around the 'restricted OS' issue. The Tablet PC SDK needs at least XP Pro or higher versions of Vista.
I played around with Ink Recognition last year and didn't find very much in the way of VCL components that helped, at least not at low cost. There is an SDK for the excellent MyScript by VisionObjects (http://www.visionobjects.com/) - see the web-page and especially the leaflet at http://www.visionobjects.com/telechar/Datasheet_MyScript_Builder--11-en.pdf I was sure that I saw Delphi as one of the listed languages last year, but now it says only C, Java and .NET. I also remember that the MyScript SDK was not cheap. It's much cheaper to upgrade Vista and use the MS Tablet SDK! As for low-cost or freeware, there is an article on the Embarcadero Dev Network about Ink Recognition: http://cc.embarcadero.com/item/22684 with demo and download, but it is essentially a Delphi interface to the Tablet PC SDK and the documentation is very lean indeed. There was no reply to my request last year for more info. I did build a very simple demo app of my own using this download library and I would be glad to send it to you if you PM me. Frankly I was a bit disappointed by the relative lack of useful, low-cost solutions. Just shows how used I have become to high-quality shared Delphi code! Good luck, Rob hi,i'm currently working in a project were in i have to interface windows handwriting recogination with my applicaion. so i downloaded and installed the Tablet PC SDK 1.7 version from microsoft.
