I don't really understand the problem? You were using the deluge-gtk
interface on a linux box and connecting to a remote daemon? When you went
to add a torrent you couldn't browse the remote servers filesystem? This
is how it should work.
The description is a bit confusing so I may not understand what you're
trying to say.
