I just figured out, what the problem was: I connected to my server via ssh
tunnel. I opened a port in my firewall now and with a direct connection it
was possible to enter a path manually. Nevertheness the possibility to
browse though the existing folders would be a nice feature as not
everybody has got his folder-structure in his head. Besides I do not know
if the login and data is transfered in plain text or crypted and therefore
(I guess not only) I generally prefer an encrypted connection via ssh.
