Sorry for the lag Jason and for the issues you are having.
The only thing I can suggest is that you:
1. Stop DH
2. Clean out the IP from the WORK_DIR files
3. Remove the IP from /etc/hosts.deny
4. Move /var/log/denyhosts to /var/log/denyhosts.orig
5. Start DH with the --debug option
6. tail -f /var/log/denyhosts
That should provide more details in addition to what you've already
provided. If the IP is re-added, send me (not the list):
1. the denyhosts.log
2. your denyhosts.cfg file
3. a snippet of SECURE_LOG that has the IP in question
Send these as attachments so they don't get reformatted,
Regards,
Phil

No other ideas?
Just clean it manually, it works.
Don't forget to stop denyhosts first, then grep
/usr/share/denyhosts/data en delete all ocurrences of the IP, delete it
from /etc/hosts.deny, and finally start denyhosts (probably in debug
mode to see the log and make sure the IP wasn't found somewhere you missed).
That's the thing... I've already done all this, as per my original
e-mail, and it still keeps getting re-added!
This is the source of my confusion; it makes no sense...
