Happy turkey day, Bryan! Yes, you're right, cleaning up the documentation on
java.sql.getPropertyInfo() is tangential to the original purpose of this issue.
I tripped across a grab-bag of issues (see the
derby-6980-05-aa-miscCleanup.diff patch) while compiling a list of changes
related to modularization. That cleanup became part of the mission-creep for
this issue.
I agree that the claims about getPropertyInfo() look very old. I wish they were
better described and tested. The functionality sounds useful. It might be worth
opening a JIRA to provide a less brittle and cryptic way for users to get a
list of the booted databases.
