It does not mean show all. You can have items in Dashboard that are not in any other collection, and vice versa. I actually thought that we had sort of show all function by overlaying all collections, but I just realized it does not work in the table view (it works only in the calendar view). Anyone know why you can not overlay in table view? "Show all items" could be useful in some situations.
