Just FYI, we have a plugin[1] that imports your sticky notes into Tomboy. We are still working on what sort of "automatic import on first run" behavior it should have. I think it's a fair bet that this plugin (or something similar) would be activated by default if Tomboy were replacing Sticky Notes in GNOME.
