Ghee,
   The grant recognition is specifically for the commitment to the 
OpenSolaris.Org community.  If the work is done elsewhere and filters 
back to the Desktop Community, as long as the person communicates what 
is happening/updates via our mailing list, then I call this entirely a 
valid part of the contribution grant. If nothing is discussed on this 
mailing list, then it happened elsewhere. A good example is that Ken 
Mays quite often make a simple announcement of related contributions on 
blastwave. This to me makes links his contributions on blastwave to his 
contributions on OpenSolaris.Org. At least the community knows what is 
happening, and can comment.

P.S. Gman, I thought we had already voted on Ken's upgrade to a core 
contributor. While it was not a stunning turnout by the core 
contributors, I only saw +1's
