Ok, I figured out how to back out the vermillion install to a point where it
works, but it was a royal pain...

1) Got an installed package list (pkginfo -c GNOME2).
2) Reinstalled everything in the list.

This brought me to a new error starting up the gnome-settings-daemon. This
time it complained about missing symbols in libgstflac.so. I finally figured
out that this was a new file in vermillion 72 that wasn't in snv_71. I removed
these and the other libraries in that directory not in SUNWgnome-media and
rebooted.

Everything seems to work again... Yay!
