Thanks Liane, I think your email explained it really well - and yeah, I 
agree - integrating SQLite v3 into SFW for new projects wanting to 
utilise it would be a huge win.

If porting Songbird has to be the catalyst for that, then so be it.  
Hopefully we can start that in parallel.
