There is probably no reason why SQLite couldn't go into OpenSolaris
if there are people willing to do all needed work (ARC, etc.).

For people here at Sun to be involved with SQLite being in Solaris,
the process is more slow due to coordinating issues with the database
group, etc.

No, shouldn't affect that.  Also, some projects (or consolidations) may
be able to ship private copies of SQLite for components that need it,
thus avoiding the support issues.  ARC tends to frown on things like
this, but it might be possible.  Need to talk to ARC about it.

Of course, OpenSolaris can diverge from Sun's supported Solaris OS.
