Lightning is just a plugin version of Sunbird, so presumably one could use that instead: <http://download.mozilla.org/?product=sunbird-0.8&os=solaris-i386&lang=en-US > I don't know off-hand if Sunbird includes the WCAP stuff for talking to Sun calendar servers that Lightning does, though, if that matters. Evolution has also been planning to "go componentized" for some time now, although I'm not sure what timescale they're looking at.
