Essentially for audio, what needs to be put into IPS would be these: - libfaad, which compiles just fine (the library, I didn't bother with the other stuff), though you need aclocal for bootstrapping (courtesy Blastwave IPS currently). libfaad should be free to use, according to Nero, which maintains it. - osssink, obvious why, compiles fine with default setup. - flump3dec. If Fluendo licenses their MP3 decoder for free, maybe they could be talked into allowing it on IPS. This gets you AAC playback and direct output to OSS instead going via SADA emulation. For video, I've always relied solely on MPlayer for this, but I guess I can take a look at it in regards to Gstreamer. I think I've compiled Xvid fine sometime ago. -mg
