I don't think I have a grant of any kind from this community.
But I would say that unless the _only_ thing that the Desktop community
is doing is spec files, then it doesn't make sense to use that as a
(sole) metric for grants. And indeed, any particular metric is likely
to fall apart at some time. I'd think nomination by "n" (for some small
value of "n") of core contributors, and no nays from the current core
contributors, would be sufficient.
Certainly, it does make sense to give grants out to folks who have
demonstrated by their repeated contributions (of any kind) to the
projects that are being endorsed by the community.
