I'd like to request core contributor status[1] in the Desktop community
group for my contributions[2] to the spec-files-extra project (aka
pkgbase). Additionally, in the interest of establishing a general
policy in this regard, I'd like to propose that core contributor status
in the Desktop community group be granted to members who make/made at
least one contribution (change or create, plus commit) to some minimum
number of different spec files.

Thoughts in general?

In specific, how about setting the number at 25? Too high? Too low?
Just right?

If it were 25, it would have the following effect[3]: The OpenSolaris
grant status of five people would be elevated. Two would be changed
from contributor (in the Desktop CG) to core contributor, and three
(who currently have no grant status) would become core contributors.

[1] Currently the following people have core contributor status
in the Desktop community group: davelam - Dave Lin; dcarbery
     - Damien Carbery; dermot - Dermot McCluskey; dkenny - Darren
Kenny; gman - Glynn Foster; laca - Laca Peter; padraig -
Padraig O'Briain; yippi - Brian Cameron

[2] In specific, I've made change/create + commit contributions
once or more to ~105 different spec files.

[3] Based on an "unaudited" analysis of change log notes I
     just did.
