Xorg defaults to a 64-bit binary if you're running a 64-bit kernel on
nv_58 and later (part of the Xorg 7.2 upgrade).   The nvidia accelerated
driver only provides a 32-bit module in the version bundled up through
nv_60 though, so the 64-bit Xorg falls back to the barebones VESA driver.

The new version of the nvidia driver, available for download from nvidia.com
or included in nv_61 and later, includes both 32-bit & 64-bit modules.

Alternatively, you can switch back to 32-bit Xorg with svccfg and continue
to use your current 32-bit nvidia driver - see the instructions in the
"Xorg 7.2 Heads Up" message at:
