The preferred repository is displayed when the Pkg Mgr starts up and its packages are used if there are conflicts among the repositories in your repository list. You need not change your preferred repo to update from other repositories. Update All updates from all repositories on your repo list at the same time. Or to update selected packages from a specific repository, select that repo from the Repository drop-down, select the packages to be installed/updated and click that button. Note that you can select packages from several repositories in this way and then install/update all those packages at the same time. Frank
