Just going from my experience, at least with regard to desktop usage. My system only has 2gb of ram, I really need to get another gig, but I just moved from California to Texas, there's no way. JDS is a ram hog in itself, but add in JDS, ZFS, and Java, it's just one gigantic monster. A sexy one though. :-)
