If you turn on Tracker and use the default configuration, the files under $HOME will be monitored. Normally, that will be a long monitor list for gamin. I saw Lin did some performance tuning on gamin recently. We bump tracker to 0.6.6 in spec-files trunk, there are bunch of changes in it. So please give a try if you have time. If the performance is still low, please fill bugs against gamin or tracker. Thanks, Halton.
