I was aware of the native port, but it's not gonna be good enough until 
it's as mature as it was 5 years ago on Windows.

It's a problem with time, we don't have enough time while on earth.  
Things can change, nothing is forever, and I would even go as far as 
help them get it up to usable state from a desktop user perspective, but 
replace Thunderbird, Mail.app, or Entourage, that's a feat with current 
status of GTK+ on OSX.
