I created a PXE/DHCP JumpStart(TM) infrastrucure, then ran Solaris_11/Tools/setup_install_server /export/install/Solaris11-b85-i86pc to copy the DVD contents.
The laptop booted via PXE, then pxegrub proceeeded to boot the snv_85 kernel, which consequently went on his merry way and performed a SUNWCxall metacluster installation. Upon finishing the install, I saw the following message: "Solaris 11 software installation partially installed Solaris 11 packages partially installed SUNWcompiz-root SUNWcompiz-fusion-extra-root SUNWcompiz-fusion-main-root" So it would appear, that the compiz packages aren't ready to be installed via JumpStart(TM). BTW, why do these package have funny, non-standard, Linux-like names? For example, why aren't they called: SUNWcompizr SUNWcompizfusionextrar SUNWcompizfusionmainr ? It's annoying and eye stabbing to see Linux-like names diverge from traditional SUNW package naming scheme, especially for a Linux "fan" like me. Will something be done about these horrible package names? This message posted from opensolaris.org
