Hi,
I just installed SNV B82 SXCE. on my Shuttle SN25P barebone with
Athlon 64 X2 4800+ and 2 GB DDR RAM Nforce 4 chipset , Nvidia Gigabit NIC.
Nvidia 6500 PCIe graphics card.
Logged in as a user.
started the gnome-terminal
$ su - root
# cd /media/SOL_11_X86/DeveloperTools
# sh install_devtool.sh
While the devtools are installing, the process updates the selections
in the
gnomepanel menu. Each time a new menuitem is installed the gnome_panel
crashes and restarts.
This has not been happening before.
Also since snv build 78 the gnome-panel menu randomly freezes up for
5-10 seconds
and prevents the user from dragging the cursor over the menu choises.
The quality of the gnome-panel executable is clearly deteriorating
Gnome-panel is critical to the end users perception of the system as a
whole
