When I installed, I made the mistake of not making the primary user root, and the distinction between roles and users is pretty confusing, especially since you can log on as root (role or user?) locally, but not, it would seem, remotely. Maybe there's a good tutorial about this somewhere, but in the meantime it isn't clear which password to use, although in this instance neither seem to work.
