Aside from the fact that we should, if possible, make the code identify
when it is running on Xorg versus Xsun, and disable itself when using
Xsun.  Or we could just hold off on integrating the applet until the
Xorg migration completes.

This would, I think, eliminate many of the sorts of customer issues that
caused us to originally remove it.
