If the bundled nvidia driver does not support the card installed, whether it is too old or too new, installation should still proceed in graphical mode using the nv or vesa driver. For the HP xw4600, the bundled nvidia driver supports all the NVIDIA graphics cards listed at the HP U.S. web page. Note: all the cards shown on the HP web page are from the Quadro family, not GeForce as Kevin mentioned in his posting. If there is a GeForce card in this system, it may not be the original card. Regardless, support for GPUs as far back as 2000 are supported by the legacy nvidia drivers (R96 and R173).
