Thanks for the suggestion.  That's possible, but I don't think so.
The hardware configuration hasn't been changed for at least two
years.  I've been installing and upgrading SXCE on it regularly,
starting with build 73.  The shutdown problem only began with
recent SXCE builds.

How can I determine what's initiating the shutdown?
