New findings. I was just wondering "what if I install Pinyin back again?", but then had another thought. I installed another Chinese input method that is dramatically different than Intelligent Pinyin, which is "Chinese (cangjie (m17n))". I then switched between the three methods - English, "Intelligent Pinyin", and cangjie.
Guess what I found? cangjie works - at least I can tell it's inputting Chinese since I don't know how to use cangjie Intelligent Pinyin - if I switch to Intelligent Pinyin using drop-down menu and select with mouse, it does not work. Even if I tried 'shift' button it's still the same. If I install "Chinese (Pinyin)" it works all perfect. If I install both "Chinese (Pinyin)" and "Chinese (Intelligent Pinyin)", both works. So, seems something is missing? Something required by Intelligent Pinyin but only installed with Pinyin?
