I wonder if an ad campaign for Linux itself is the right approach. Perhaps people would consider it too abstract unless it talked about actual products preloaded with Linux.
And we shouldn't be writing ads for products preloaded with Linux unless they kick ass. i.e. they should be good enough to impress even the Wall Street Journal, and foolproof enough to have a low return rate at the store. Devices with wireless trouble as described in http://ctkennedy.wordpress.com/2008/01/07/eeepc-at-work-day-1-post-4/ http://pcrepairni.blogspot.com/2008/01/hows-blogs-work-now-then.html or for which the package manager crashes as described in http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?pid=70644 aren't quite polished enough to qualify, IMHO, no matter how much they rock otherwise. Just my two cents. - Dan _______________________________________________ Desktop_architects mailing list [email protected] https://lists.linux-foundation.org/mailman/listinfo/desktop_architects
